STEPHEN GRESSETT - CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Steve Gressett co-founded Armor Energy, LLC in 2015, and serves as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Steve has 30 years industry experience in multiple leadership and managerial positions, most recently as Chief Operating Officer of Nadel and Gussman. He also was General Manager of the Mid-Continent Division of Samson Resources for several years and also managed Samson’s Michigan operations. Steve has worked internationally for Devon Energy in Argentina and also held several engineering positions with Fina Oil and Chemical and Santa Fe Energy in the Permian Basin, including four years as a Field Superintendent with Fina. Steve started his career in Bakersfield, CA with Texaco after receiving a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University.
JIM WILSON - PRESIDENT
Jim co-founded Armor Energy in September 2015. His responsibilities include strategic planning, corporate business development and management of the company’s financial and organizational business relationships. He brings 30 years of industry experience in all facets of petroleum engineering, with specialized emphasis on reserve determination and asset evaluation. Jim previously worked as Manager of Corporate Business Development with Nadel and Gussman from 2010 to 2015, Vice-President- Mid-Continent Engineering for Meagher Energy Advisors from 2008 to 2009, and spent over 12 years with Ward Petroleum Corporation in Enid, OK, working enhanced recovery projects and reservoir engineering assignments before becoming the Manager of Business Development in 1999. He started his career with Mobil Oil in Bakersfield, CA, working both heavy- and light-oil projects in the San Joaquin Basin and gas projects in the Sacramento Basin. Jim graduated from the University of Tulsa with a BS in Petroleum Engineering and an MBA with emphasis in Finance. He is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers, having served as OKC Chapter President and a member of the organization’s national board of directors. Jim is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Oklahoma.
DARRELL NOBLITT - VP LAND & LEGAL
Darrell co-founded Armor Energy in September of 2015. His role as VP of Land & Legal includes sourcing and acquiring assets to which Armor will add value, as well as negotiating and prepping the documentation associated therewith. He began his career in the O&G industry checking records and buying leases in 1979. He has worked for small and medium sized independents in various capacities in Land, Acquisitions, and Negotiations from the Rockies east. Mr. Noblitt was BD Manager for the Mid-Continent and Appalachia regions for EnergyNet from Jan of 2003 through Dec of 2011. Outside the industry he has served as a City Councilman, Vice-Mayor, and Chairman of Economic Development Authority for his hometown of Mustang, OK. He has also served and chaired various civic committees and currently presides over the Oklahoma Youth Hunting Program. He has been invited to perform his ethics presentation at the Energy Management programs for both Oklahoma University and The University of Tulsa, local O&G organizations, National Conventions, as well as for private Energy companies. As an alumni of the Oklahoma University PLM program Mr. Noblitt enjoyed the distinction of being a member of the President’s Leadership Class. Mr. Noblitt has served as a member of the Executive Board of the Oklahoma City Association of Petroleum Landmen. That group honored him as Landman of the Year in 2012.
RICK TEAGUE - VP EXPLORATION & DEVELOPMENT
Rick Teague, Vice President of Exploration and Development, brings 30 years of industry experience in exploration, development and operations geology. His responsibilities include technical oversight and geoscience evaluation on all exploration, development and A&D projects. Prior to co-founding Armor, Rick worked at two privately-owned Tulsa independents, Samson Resources and Nadel and Gussman, holding positions ranging from operations geologist to Granite Wash Asset Team Leader. Rick started his career in 1985 with Union Oil of California in Oklahoma City. In his 20+ years with Unocal, he worked most of the geologic provinces of Oklahoma, and the Illinois, Michigan, Permian and Delaware Basins. He also worked the Makassar Straits, offshore Indonesia, and the Deep Water Gulf of Mexico for Chevron after their takeover of Unocal. Rick graduated from Oklahoma State University with Bachelors and Master’s Degrees in Geology and is a long-standing member of the AAPG. He and his wife support Aim High Academy, Tulsa Girls Manna House, and are active members of The Church at Battle Creek.
JUSTIN ALLISON, P.E. - VICE PRESIDENT - OPERATIONS
Justin Allison joined Armor Energy when it was founded in 2015. Previously employed by Tulsa-based Nadel & Gussman, he was initially focused on helping the company develop its significant Miss Lime position before its sale in 2012. Subsequently, he handled special drilling and evaluation projects for the company as it explored new ventures in Indiana, Louisiana, Nebraska, Texas, and Oklahoma. Prior to N&G, he served in several engineering roles at Unit Petroleum where he managed primarily MidContinent assets. Justin has acquired deep experience in horizontal drilling/completions and is a proven problem solver and innovator. He highly values technical excellence, uncompromising transparency, and commitment to mission, and strives to lead in these areas in his work and peer relationships. Mr. Allison earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
JIMMY FOXWORTH - SUPERINTENDENT
Jimmy Foxworth joined Armor Energy August 14th, 2017 as Field Superintendent. Employed with Samson Resources for 1988-2017. Started as Roustabout in East Texas field, held positions of Maintenance Foreman, Production Foreman, Sr. Production Foreman. Promoted to Field Operations Superintendent in March 2006. Experience in various types of surface equipment, building locations, building new facilities and pipelines. Experienced in various vertical and horizontal formation completions and workovers. Responsible for Frac and Completion schedule following a 9 rig Travis Peak drilling program and Haynesville horizontal development. Graduated from Livingston High School in 1986.
BRENDA BACON - CONTROLLER
Brenda Bacon joined Armor Energy as Controller in November 2015. She was previously employed with Samson Resources Company from 1998 to 2015 where she filled different accounting roles from Staff Accountant to Joint Interest Accounting Manager. Mrs. Bacon is a Certified Public Accountant and began her career in 1992 at BKD LLP. Her responsibilities at Armor Energy include management of all accounting operations, including production of periodic financial reports and budgets, and design of comprehensive controls. Mrs. Bacon is active in the community where she has served on the Board of Directors for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Green Country Chapter and the Kiefer Public School Foundation. Mrs. Bacon received a B.S.B.A in Accounting in 1991 from Missouri Southern State University.
RON FOSHEE - SENIOR GEOLOGIST
Ron Foshee joined Armor Energy as Senior Geologist in 2015. Ron was previously employed with Nadel & Gussman and Samson Resources Company from 2003 to 2015. At these companies he served as Senior District Geologist working in exploration and development in various Mid-Continent basins. Prior to joining Samson Resources Company he served as Senior Geologist for Southwestern Energy 1994 to 2000 and Oxley Exploration Company 2000 to 2003. At these companies his responsibilities included all aspects of exploration and development geology, with an emphasis on field development and asset management. Ron has extensive training in extensional and compressional tectonic settings, and has drilled both vertical and horizontal wells in many reservoirs in the Mid-Continent as well as Gulf Coast basins. Ron had some experience in Rocky Mountain and Appalachian basins as well. Ron received his B.S. Degree from Stephen F. Austin University in 1978, and his M.S. Degree from the University of Arkansas in 1980.
ADAM DOLINSKY, CPL - SENIOR LANDMAN
Adam Dolinsky fills the role of Senior Landman at Armor Energy. His responsibilities include negotiating agreements with industry peers, coordinating the consolidation of land positions and acquiring regulatory approval to develop Armor’s assets. Mr. Dolinsky has over 10 years of industry experience and was previously employed as a Senior Landman at Nadel and Gussman, LLC (2014-2015) and Samson Resources Company (2006-2014) where he was engaged in the full spectrum of the exploration and development land work in the East Texas and Mid-Continent regions. Mr. Dolinsky received his Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Oklahoma in 2005. He is a Certified Professional Landman in the American Association of Professional Landmen and an active member of the Tulsa and Oklahoma City Associations of Professional Landmen.
JOE MILLSPAUGH - LAND MANAGER - TEXAS
Joe Millspaugh joined Armor Energy as Land Manger covering Armor’s Texas assets in June 2017. Joe has over 12 years of industry experience, having spent the bulk of his career (2006 – 2017) as a Landman and Senior Landman with Samson Resources Company and Samson Energy, LLC. While with Samson, Joe worked the East Texas, Gulf Coast and Mid-Continent regions where his responsibilities included the negotiation of various agreements, management and oversight of large, seismic driven land projects, preparing locations for multi-rig schedules and working closely with landowners to ensure any concerns/obligations were met by Samson. Joe received his Bachelors of Business Administration Degree in Finance from the University of Oklahoma’s Price College of Business. He is a Registered Professional Landman and a member of the American Association of Petroleum Landmen and the Tulsa Association of Petroleum Landmen. Joe and his wife have two children; they are active members of The Church at Midtown and support various ministries including Vision Course – Believers Church, Campus Crusade for Christ and College Golf Fellowship.
BLAKE BLAND - SENIOR RESERVOIR ENGINEER
Blake Bland joined Armor Energy when it was founded in 2015. His responsibilities include reservoir and economic evaluations on all exploration, development, and A&D projects. He was previously employed by two privately owned Tulsa based companies from 2007 – 2015, Samson Resources and Nadel and Gussman. He began his career working various reservoir, operations, and drilling engineering roles in East Texas, before moving to the Anadarko Basin where he has significant experience in A&D, and development projects across multiple reservoirs including the Granite Wash, Cleveland, Marmaton, Woodford, and Mississippi Lime. Mr. Bland received a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering in 2007 from the University of Oklahoma. He supports She is Safe, Campus Crusade for Christ, and is an active member of Life Church.
